Profile: Long-running UK electronic group, originally formed by Jimmy Cauty (of The KLF) and Alex Paterson in 1988, that grew out of a love of ambient music and dub, soundscapes and science fiction. Due to the early work in this style, The Orb became pioneers of the early-90's-born "ambient house" genre. The group's lineup has shifted over the years, with Alex being the only consistent member. Notable members include Thrash and Thomas Fehlmann. Though he was never officially a member, Youth (a.k.a. Martin Glover) was instrumental throughout the group's existence, and co-owned the label WAU! Mr. Modo Recordings with Alex (they had known each other since they were young, and Alex was a roadie for the group Killing Joke, in which Youth played bass).

No Sounds Are Out of Bounds is the fifteenth studio album by English ambient house duo the Orb. The album was released on 22 June 2018 via Cooking Vinyl. It includes contributions from Youth, Roger Eno, Hollie Cook, Guy Pratt, Jah Wobble, Gaudi, Roney FM and Michael Rendall.

Track 11 has a "jump scare", a sample from the video game Minecraft of a dangerous creature (Ghast) firing at you. For many minecraft players this sound means "jump out of the way first and search for the enemy after, you have 1-3 seconds to react". Since jumping to the left or right to avoid the incoming fireball becomes an instinctive reaction to players, including the sound on an album becomes a literal JUMP-scare to anyone playing the game while listening to the album. Minecraft's sound designer (musician C418 ) claims all of the Ghast's sounds are actually recordings of sounds his pet cat makes while sleeping.
