German producer Etasonic comes back to Abora with this new release with Dany G, featuring Afternova on remix duties: Flying in a Dream.

The release starts with the Original Mix. This track was originally inspired by a story told by Dany G about a girl who goes home after a tiring, rainy day, falls asleep in bed, and then dreams a bright colorful dream, in which an angel takes her flying through a beautiful happy world, full of light, full of colors, full of green meadows and flowers, and even a rainbow, until she finally wakes up.

This beautiful track is a retelling of the story into music. The original mix focuses a lot on the breakdown. Meanwhile, a pretty strong and pumping intro, piano, pads, and melodies in the breakdown are the core of this track. They then lead to a powerful and compelling climax full of emotions and feelings.

Next up is the Sentimental Mix. This is a chilled mix that elaborates upon the original breakdown, enhanced with multiple orchestral instruments. The result is an inspiring song, driven by a melancholic piano and energetic pads.

We then have the honor to present our very own Afternova’s remix. We can definitely feel Afternova’s spin on this one, with a very different approach to the breakdown, which is faster and more club-oriented. Filled with classic trance plucks and an emotional solo string section, the track finally leads to a gorgeous climax.

Finally, Afternova presents a wonderful orchestral mix. This one is a very special remix that contains most of what an emotional orchestra should have: great background vocals, quality powerful strings, passionate wind instruments, and a touching reverbing piano.

Dee Montero does not stop. After an intense year playing across the globe whilst fitting in super-productive studio sessions from Bali to Belfast he’s back with his brand new label, Futurescope, and the debut single ‘Sapphire’. Featuring the super distinctive voice of Shahin Badar, the former vocalist with The Prodigy, ‘Sapphire’ signals the start of a new era for Dee. With the label’s ethos bound to its core, the past, present, and future of dance music sits in high regard with Futurescope, it is clear that ‘Sapphire’ is its paradigm. And there’s a DSF remix to appeal to all those All Day I Dreamers. From the melancholic drones of the Indian tanpura rooting the song's key, Shahin Bader is free to float over the top. The effervescent vocals drift between the grooving grid of timeless house sounds. Dee Montero’s drum programming is impeccable, blending fluffy interlocking hi-hats with a solid 4x4 kick and dashes of his 909 drum machine between. The synths provide washes of colour, from the ascending arpeggios that swell to the symphonic, string-like pads. Dee works in a precision slice of bassline that bounces brilliantly between the kicks and claps and holds the low end intact throughout the tune. Looking further down the line, there will be further releases on Futurescope which go for the same dreamy musical aesthetic: it’s little wonder that Lee Burridge is already raving about the next release on the label. If this first release is anything to go by, Dee has plenty more in his sights for us with Futurescope. One to watch!

After two decades of redefining electronic music with unconventional and psychedelic club sounds, German DJ and producer Acid Pauli needs no introduction. His third album MOD arrived in September 2020 as a remarkable tribute to the modular synthesizer, the most trusted tool in Acid Pauli aka Martin Gretschmann's arsenal. He created the record almost entirely with modular systems, reveling in the possibilities and stretching the limits of machines that sing to themselves.
The first part of MOD Remixes saw innovative reinterpretations by Pilocka Krach, JakoJako and other notable names from the Berlin underground. Now on the second part, Acid Pauli's collaborators bring expertise from all over Europe and beyond, resulting in a magnificent international collection.

Well reputed DJ Tennis and Roderic approach "No Kick, No Cry" from completely different directions. The former accentuates the prominent kick drum and adds new layers to the track, making it a true earworm, while Roderic keeps it more low-key, carefully coating the already immersive and ASMR-like soundscape in nuanced texture.

"Du Brecht, Ich Dub" undergoes a complete makeover by German producer, DJ and vocalist Perel. With two extra minutes and a bright newfound energy, her version plays like a soundtrack for an aerial footage of a neon-lit city. Needless to say, it is an irresistible dancefloor-filler.
Slovakia-born and London-based artist Lenka Toma adds a warm touch to "Life Polarizer". United by the consuming groove, Acid Pauli's chirping and bubbling soundbites come alive with Toma's techno backdrop.

"Sublime Frequencies Of Cairo" becomes subject to quite a metamorphosis, too. What was already an album highlight is elevated further by Jonathan Kaspar, resident of Cologne's nightlife hotspot Gewölbe. His beat pulsates throughout the initially beatless track and masterfully connects the dots between Acid Pauli's floating loops, eventually finding its way to the foreground.
On its remixed version, MOD reemerges as an entirely new record, basking in all these diverse influences while firmly retaining the trailblazing lifeforce of its creator
